These kicks might not be brand new but they are still news to me. Adidas making a model of their iconic Seeley sneaker from hemp. Now before you go and roll up your shoes into a blunt remember that hemp does not get you high. These kicks are dope though and I’d def consider adding a pair to my collection, if for nothing more than posterity. I’ve found a couple of different versions online but most seem to be retailing in the $60-$70 range.
And for all you sneaker-heads out there here is an interesting story about the origins of Adidas. Adolph and Rudolf Dassler were German brothers who worked in the shoe industry. Long story short, they had a falling out over political allegiances and founded rival shoe companies. Rudolf founded Puma, while Adi (short for Adolph) founded Adidas (short for Adi Dassler, not All Day I Dream About Soccer as popularly believed).
