There are so many choices when you go to the bodega. Doesn’t matter if it is candy bars, beverages, snacks, or chips, it seems like there are a million choices. And what’s worse, there are subsets upon subsets of choices to be made. Let’s say you want something salty so you head for the chips. Next you narrow it down to popcorn and then the ultimate dilemma – what flavor. Let’s just fast forward ten minutes to when your stoned ass has finally decided on a cheese based popcorn and even more specifically white cheddar popcorn. Here’s the kicker, this random, generic bodega happens to have three different brands of white cheddar popcorn:
We were lucky enough to have Smokers Club member Mick Jenkins in the Clubhouse to help us pick the winner. The results were unanimous: Popcorn Indiana’s all natural Aged White Cheddar Popcorn easily took the crown.
The Wise White Cheddar Popcorn was everyone’s least favorite of the three, with complaints of “fake cheese flavor,” and lack of crunch.
Before we began the testing, Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn was the favorite to win because it was most recognizable. But Smartfood was surprisingly the least flavorful of the three, despite having better texture and crunch than the Wise popcorn.
Popcorn Indiana won as soon as people tasted those little white nuggets of gold. The flavor and crunch of Popcorn Indiana’s snack was superior to both its competitors. What is even better is that the great flavor does not taste fake and isn’t overwhelming. Sure it is a little more expensive than the others – if you are looking for the best deal then Smartfood is definitely the way to go at two bags for $0.99 – but Popcorn Indiana will give you the best quality.
